PillPal — a medication management genie.
A voice-enabled medication app that organises and tracks prescriptions — adherence reframed as a conversation, not a chore. Built around recognition-led VUI patterns and supported by qualitative research with caregivers and chronic-condition patients.
Medication non-adherence is one of healthcare's quietest failures — missed doses, mis-timed refills, and the slow erosion of a regimen that should have worked. PillPal explores what happens when the friction is replaced with voice: a quick "what do I take now?" instead of a screen full of pillboxes.
The product covers four core moments — onboarding a regimen, daily intake, refill planning, and caregiver visibility — all designed to feel calmer than the apps it competes with.
The final design centres a voice-first interaction model with screens that exist to confirm, not to drive. The shelf metaphor — pills laid out as a row, not a list — lets a user see their day at a glance and tap (or ask) to confirm an intake.
