Mobile App
Zipline — last-mile delivery, from the sky.
A concept companion app for drone-based last-mile delivery — tracking, handoff, and the moment a parcel actually lands at your door. Designed around the small UX details that make airborne delivery feel ordinary rather than novel.
Overview
Drone delivery is mostly a hardware story today. The user-facing software still borrows interaction patterns from van-delivery apps — long ETAs, vague status updates, photo-of-doorstep proof. Zipline imagines the app that should exist when the parcel comes from above.
Key surfaces include real-time airspace tracking, a guided drop-zone setup at home, and a confirmation experience that's calmer than a typical "delivered" notification.
Problem
Describe the unique UX challenges of aerial delivery (drop zones, weather, noise, trust) and what current apps don't yet address.
Process
Outline your research, the speculative grounding, and how you grounded the concept in plausible operational constraints.
Solution
Walk through the key screens, the drop-zone primitive, and the confirmation flow.
Outcome
Note the design decisions you're most proud of and the open questions the concept surfaced.
